Andrea Bassin, MA, MS, MA, LPCC is a graduate of SWC and a licensed professional psychotherapist, certified supervisor, and certified trainer for the state of New Mexico. Prior to becoming a therapist, Andrea worked as a victim advocate and worked in the field of conflict resolution as a mediator and restorative justice facilitator. As a professional counselor, much of her psychotherapy practice focused on working with victims of violence, trauma, crisis response, and developing practices of trauma informed care for front line crisis responders. Other notable experiences included working with clients in an equine therapy setting, being the director of a college counseling center, and beginning this incredible professional journey as an international monitor for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in South Africa. Andrea is passionate about trauma informed care, and all work is with the intention to build social justice and in the belief of building human emotional resilience.
