The temporary LMHC is good for 2 years, during which you either take your NCE or renew your temporary LMHC every 6 months.

If the applicant fails the first exam, the board will reschedule the applicant to re-take the examination and will re-issue a second temporary license.�� If the applicant fails the exam a second��time, the board may re-issue a third temporary license.�� The applicant must provide proof of registration on a tutorial class.�� The board will not issue more than three temporary licenses. $75 renewal each time.
