God is doing a NEW thing in Hip-Hop y'all!!! The people are ready to hear more.. the people are ready to hear JESUS! I read this very interesting Harriet Tubman quote recently. She said, "I freed a thousand slaves. I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves". I said, WOW! I was so stunned at this, and I also couldn't help but to think how it still speaks of people today.
In this scenario, Harriet Tubman was like Jesus Christ. She promised them a better hope, a better future, a carefree life -- not in chains -- but they couldn't see past their captivity. They had been living in bondage for so long that they didn't even know they we're bound. Like most of us, captivity was... NORMAL! When referring to us, I'm not speaking of physical chains, but MENTAL chains. Unforgiveness, Bitterness, Anger, Hatred, Fear, Worry, etc. These strongholds hinder us from living a joyous life. Some of us are afraid to love because we were hurt in the past and fear being hurt again. Some of us refuse to fully trust friends / family because we were betrayed and never want to experience that feeling again. We were not created to live under these constraints and Jesus can set us free, if we can first see that we are bound! Isaiah 61:1 speaks of Jesus, saying... "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound". If you're already living in the freedom that the Lord has come to give us, I praise God for you. But if you're not, I just want you to say this prayer aloud, with sincerity and in faith, and you too will be free... PRAYER: Lord, Help me to love again. Help me to trust again. I cast all my cares upon you, Lord. And I ask that you heal every hurt in my life. I believe that you died to save me. And I believe that in you, I am made whole. I ask that you come into my life. I ask that your will be done in me. I thank you, and I praise you. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. ATTENTION!! *Date: Saturday (May 25th, 2013) *Time: 12:00pm - Until *Address: 15007 S. Atlantic Ave, Compton, CA 90221 (cross streets: Atlantic Ave and Compton Blvd) Hope to see you (reader), God bless. Since I was a child, I believed that after we get Saved, the next step is Heaven.. Like, once I get to Heaven, I will finally be satisfied... But I literally had to learn that God wants us to enjoy life here on Earth.. And we CAN! Psalm 37:4 says "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." .... God WANTS us to be happy! In fact, John 16:24 says, "...Ask, and you will receive, that your JOY may be full." .... So the idea of life here on Earth not being enjoyable, is a lie from the devil.
Many other young people believe this lie.. Hence the phrase, "I'll just get Saved when I'm old." ... Which, if we're honest, means, "After I'm done having all my fun and life is no longer enjoyable, I'll then live a boring Christian life." (lol) ..... The beginning of the scripture, John 10:10, says that the thief (satan) comes to steal.. He's stealing TIME from us.. TIME that we could actually be living a satisfied life. But the scripture John 10:10 ends saying, "I came that they may have LIFE and have it ABUNDANTLY." ^__^ God has so much to offer us.. Blessings, the desires of our hearts, but most importantly, He offers us a relationship with Him. He created Earth, then gave us dominion over all the works of His hands .... If all of this is His creation, how much fun do you think you can have with the CreatOR? Love God, receive the promises He has toward you. God bless. Every morning I'm walking somewhere, I make sure I say "Good morning" to everyone I pass by.... but only 5 out of 20 people say "Good morning" back to me (on a good day) .... Most people act like they didn't hear me, some people keep their head straight as if they didn't see me at all, some pretend to be busy on their phone.. Some people even give me this crazy look that says, "WHAT IS A 'GOOD MORNING'? Pshh"
But then there's people like Jose, a homeless hispanic man who the world would refer to as a panhandler - or to be blunt, a "bum".... I would greet him everyday for about 2 months, not saying anything more than "Good morning", or giving him a quick wave as I walk by.... Then one day, he asked me "You go to church?" .... He doesn't speak much English, so that was his way of asking, "Are you a Christian?" .... Note: I never told him I was a Christian... I wasn't carrying around a Bible... It wasn't because I handed him any Christian literature... But he recognized that there was a DIFFERENCE in how I treated him, in contrast to how he is treated on the regular ....... Matthew 7:16 says "You will recognize them by their fruits." .... As Christians, we have (or SHOULD have) a certain glow about us.. James 3:17 states that the wisdom God gives, makes us 'easy to be intreated' - meaning kind and welcoming, approachable people. So I told him "Yeah, I go to church" .... He said "That's good. God bless you", then we both went our way. From that point on, our morning greetings would evolve to "Good morning. God bless you"... and this went on for about 2 months.... Then one day I seen Jose, he looked happy to see me, like he had been looking for me... He said to me "Pierre! I'm like you now brother." ... I said "Huh?" .. He said "I went in the water".... Again, he doesn't speak much English, plus he had an accent so I couldn't grasp what he was saying to me.... He said "I say to God, 'forgive me'. Then I went in the water" .... I said "OHHH, you got baptized???" .... He said "YES"... Then instantly my heart was filled with joy.. I got all teary-eyed on the sidewalk lol.... All I could say was "WOW! Look at God" .... A Soul was won to God from a simple "Good morning"! Jesus challenged us in Matthew 5:47. He said "And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?" .... If we only greet our 'favorite' people, how can we express the love of God to those people who are forgotten and mistreated DAILY? ... God wants us to show love towards the homeless, drug addicts, prostitutes, etc. because they are His children TOO! .... So let's let our light shine before others, so that they may see our good works and glorify our Father who is in Heaven (Matthew 5:16).... Amen? God bless. Souls are not won to Christ by talent, schemes, great marketing campaigns etc .... It's the ANOINTING that destroys the yoke (Isaiah 10:27) ...... Having an Anointing on our life comes from having an intimate relationship with God, DELIGHTING in doing His word, living a consecrated life ...... Don't try to Devise a plan to win Souls, DEVISE THE ANOINTING!.. Plan to walk in HOLINESS bcuz without the Holy Spirit, we can do nothing.... Salvation is from GOD (Jonah 2:9) and if we don't have HIS Spirit behind us, our preaching, teaching, singing is in vain.... So let's be sure that we heard from the Lord conerning any form of Ministry, and let's practice Holiness.. Amen?
God bless. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" ..... Romans 3:23 says "for ALL have sinned and
fall short of the glory of God" .... THERE ARE NO GOOD PEOPLE. Ecclesiastes 7:20 says "Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins" ..... 1 John 1:8 says " If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" ...... Also read Romans 3:10-18, it goes into ...detail about us. Every human being on this planet DESERVES to be thrown into hell at this very moment... (Romans 6:23)... Every second we spend alive is only by the grace and mercy of God... Even the most terrible misery we could experience on this planet is Merciful compared to what we DESERVE, which is Eternal hell in the lake of fire.... So the Real question would be, "Why does God allow good things to happen to bad people?" Romans 5:8 says "God shows his love for us in that while we were STILL sinners, Christ died for us" .... Why does good things happen to bad people? ..... Despite the evil, sinful nature of the people of this world, God still loves us. He loved us enough to die to take the penalty for our sins.... If we receive Jesus Christ as Savior (John 3:16, Romans 10:9), we will be forgiven and promised an eternal home in Heaven... What we DESERVE is hell.. What we are given is eternal life in Heaven if we come to Christ in faith .... So if you ask me "How you doing?".. I will tell you "Better than I deserve". God bless you (reader)! "Everything is permissible, but not everything is BENEFICIAL" (1 Corinthians 10:23) ... As Christians, we get caught up in legalism when we ask "CAN I do this?" as if Christianity is a list of rules... Instead we should ask "SHOULD I do this?" .... Are the things we do BENEFICIAL to our walk with Christ? ...... The Lord is not concerned with our outward duties, He's examining our HEART.... Matthew 5:28 say If a man just LOOKS at a woman with lustful intent he has already committed adultery with her in his HEART ..... It's about the HEART!
People argue that Smoking Weed isn't a Sin because it's not in the Bible.. But God doesn't examine what we DO, He's looking at our HEARTS (1 Samuel 16:7) .... If we have to ask "Is Smoking Weed a Sin?", then we're missing the entire purpose of Christianity - dumbing it down to a list of rules ...... If we have to ask "Are tattoos a Sin?", we're caught up in legalism... We want a list of Do's and Don'ts, but Christianity goes BEYOND that! ...... Colossians 3:5 says to Mortify "Uncleanness".. Uncleanness means 'impure thoughts or motives'... WHYY do we smoke weed? WHYY are we getting tattoos? ... If Jesus was standing right next to me, would He be pleased with what I am doing? ...... 1 Corinthians 16:9 says "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own". Christianity is not about what we can get away with and still be considered a "Christian" ... Matthew 5:8 says "Blessed are the PURE IN HEART: for they shall see God" ....... So let's examine ourselves and do everything with an intent to please God, amen? ..... 1 Corinthians 10:31 says "...whatever you do, do all to the glory of God". God bless you (reader), stay encouraged I always talk about Jesus because.. If I have the opportunity to grab your attention for 8 seconds (or 2 minutes), I want to say something that may save your LIFE .... Romans 10:9 - "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be SAVED." ..... You don't have to be at Church to get Saved.. Wherever you accept Jesus as your Saviour is your decision.. But you DO need Church to help you live SANCTIFIED ...... Being "Saved" and being "Sanctified" are 2 different things... Many Christians are "Saved" bcuz they accepted Jesus, but aren't living HOLY ..... "Holy" or "Sanctified" means Set apart for the Master's use.. We cant tell ppl who's still IN Sin to be Saved, if WE'RE still IN Sin, Right?
God wants to use each and every one of you to Save someone else... There are some people YOU can reach that your Pastor cant reach! ..... God has a Ministry for ALL of us!... He may not have called you to be a PASTOR, but what He called you to do / be consists of Saving a SOUL ..... God has predestined who you would be before the foundation of the Earth! (Ephesians 1:3-10) .... and SATAN's mission is to keep you from ever stepping into destiny ..... satan keeps us from becoming who God called us to be by distracting us with the cares of THIS life .... Relationships, Success, Riches, etc. ..... Many of us are Rappers, Producers, Dancers, Singers, Models, Photographers, Promoters, Graphic Designers. but what has GOD CALLED YOU TO BE? Do you know the Will of God for your life?? Do you know why you are here?? ... I want you to Pray tonight and ask God, "What is my purpose?" ..... If you read my Testimony ( click here to read my Testimony ), you see that I asked God and He ANSWERED! He responds to sincerity! ..... You're not missing out on anything by choosing God's plan for your life. Matthew 6:33 "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." ... We can STILL have ALL the righteous desires of our heart when we do the will of God.. We're not missing out on ANYTHING! There are many benefits to living for God.. but satan only wants you to focus on what you're giving up, not what you're getting in return .... 1 Corinthians 2:9 - "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him." ...... But if you've read this post and desire to be Saved, click here ......... I love you (reader), God bless! |
